Blocks Analytics Dashboard FAQ

Answers to Common Questions About Your Website Analytics, Tracking, and Attribution

Do I need to set anything up to use the dashboard?

No. The Blocks Analytics Dashboard is included with every Adverank Blocks website. There are no tags to install and no add-on to purchase. Log in to Blocks and the dashboard is the first thing you see.

Why don't my numbers match Google Analytics?

Blocks records activity on our servers when a page loads or a form is submitted. Google Analytics relies on a script that runs in the visitor's browser, which can be blocked by ad blockers, privacy-focused browsers like Safari and Brave, declined cookie banners, or a visitor leaving before the page finishes loading. Google Analytics also uses modeling to estimate some numbers.

Because of this, Blocks will usually show a more complete count of visitors and form activity than Google Analytics.

The Top Locations Viewed and Top Lead Sources panels do use Google Analytics data, so those panels will line up more closely with what you see in GA.

Why is my Abandoned Sessions percentage so high?

Abandoned Sessions counts every visitor who didn't complete a rental or reservation form. Most website visitors are researching, comparing prices, checking hours, or getting directions, so it's normal for this number to be well above 90%. Use the trend compared to the previous period, along with your completed forms, rather than the percentage on its own.

What counts as an abandoned form?

A rental or reservation form is counted as abandoned when a visitor interacts with it enough to create a record but doesn't finish submitting it.

What are Partial Leads, and can I follow up with them?

Partial Leads Captured combines your abandoned rental and reservation records. When someone starts a form and leaves, Blocks can still capture the contact details they entered so your team can follow up. Some records may not contain enough information to contact the person.

Why don't I see the Google PPC Advertising Attribution section?

This section only appears when the Source filter is set to All Sources or Google PPC. If you've selected a different source, switch it back to see the section.

How do you know a move-in came from Google Ads?

Your rental and reservation forms are built into your Blocks website and connect to your facility management software. When someone rents or reserves, we pass their traffic source into your FMS with the rental. When they move in, the move-in record carries that source, so we can attribute it.

Why is my ROI negative or my LTV low?

ROI is based on the lifetime value (LTV) of your customers, which is calculated from how long tenants stay. New facilities and locations with limited history may not have enough length-of-stay data yet, so LTV and ROI can look low early on. In the meantime, cost per reservation and cost per move-in are more useful measures.

Why does Google PPC look low in Top Lead Sources?

Google PPC source reporting depends on UTM tracking codes being set up correctly on your ads. If the numbers look off, email ask@adverank.ai and we'll check your campaign tracking.

Does the Source filter change occupancy?

No. Occupancy comes from Adverank Cloud and isn't tied to a traffic source. When All Locations is selected, occupancy is averaged across your connected locations.

Where does my ad spend come from?

Ad spend comes from your Adverank Cloud connection.

Is the AI Performance Summary just guessing?

No. Edward, Adverank's AI, writes the summary using only the data for your selected filters. It doesn't make recommendations based on assumptions, and a recommended action only appears when the data supports one.
