Hello and welcome to a Blocks by Adverank application tutorial. Today we're going to be talking about how to add a new page to your website. So as you may have guessed, over here on the left-hand navigation menu, we're going to start by clicking on pages.
Now before we add the page, I want to show you the sample website with over here on the top right where it says Storage Types. We currently have contractor, boat, personal, and business. If I want to add a page for RV, that's what we're going to do in here.
We're back on the Blocks by Adverank application. And we're going to go over here to the top right where these three tabs are. The third tab says add page. So we're going to click on that.
Now you have two options here. You need to go ahead and type the name in first. Over here on the left is what the page name will be and how it will show up under that menu that I just showed you. So we're going to call that RV storage.
Over here on the right, this is the title browser and SEO description. At the top of each of these tabs, you will see how it shows a name beside it. That's what's going to be depicted by what you put in here, and also what SEO will be looking at. I'm going to go ahead and give it the same name and then click on save page.
So now we have created the new page and we're currently on the page that needs to be edited. Right now, all we have is the top block that appears on every page. And we need to go ahead and add all of the other blocks.
Also, on the right-hand side of the page, you'll notice that the title name for the page name and then the page title are here. But as I showed you before, we want this new page called RV storage to show up under storage types. So in order to do that, now that I've created the new page, over here where it says not in menu.
We want to go ahead and click that and go to Storage types, because that's where we want this page to show up. And then go ahead and save page settings. It refreshes the page. And now we need to go ahead and add blocks.
Now I've done other videos on how to modify and duplicate and add new blocks, which you can spend time watching. So I won't spend a great deal of time on that now, other than just to show you a little trick on how to have one page match another.
So since I'm creating a page for RV storage, I want it to match the feel and overall look and pattern of the other storage type pages that we've already created. So here I have the editing version of the Boat Storage page. This is the editing view of that page.
You can see all the different blocks that it's broken up into, and I want the new page for RV storage to match this feel. Obviously, I'll change the images in the back and the text will be different, but I want the feel to be the same and the look to be the same.
So what I would do is go one by one and copy each block in. After you copy a block by clicking copy on the left-hand side, you'll go open the new page and you do not yet see the tab that says paste. So you want to refresh the page and now paste shows up.
Now we're going to click paste. See here you have that new block. You would continue to do that one by one for each of the new blocks. And eventually as you go down you'll have all of the blocks from the boat page on this page.
After that, you would just go into each individual block, click edit, change the text, change the image to whatever you want the new image to be. And then when you're done, before you publish the four, you finish the page. You must go up here to publish.
If you're ready for it to be seen live, you're going to click on that tab and then click on yes, Publish page changes. Now I'm not done with this page, so I'm not going to do that for now. But if you do not publish the page it will not be seen live by anybody visiting the website.
